Last Week On Earth Chapter 5Chapter 5: Coming Home
As soon as I had left the party at George's house, at which he had told me that I had to go back to Earth in order to renew a blessing, my Grandpa had teleported away without saying a word of goodbye. I didn't blame him.
Following his motion, I decided to teleport to my own house. Just before I did, I heard someone call my name.
"Hey, Jordan!" It was the voice of Amanda Gregory.
I turned around to see her walking in my direction.
"What did George want to talk to you about?" she asked me.
I took a deep breath. "It's complicated".
"Can you shorten the explanation then?"
I nodded. "To put it as simply as I can "
I was unable to finish my sentence. I wasn't exactly sure how to tell her about how I was going to be on Earth for one last week.
"You're going back to Earth" she said, her voice much less audible.
I looked at her in amazement. "How do you-"
"My father was a police officer. I knew from him how to guess what people were doing or thinking".

My Grandpa patted me on the back.
"Off you go, then. You have fun, Jordan". He waved goodbye, then started to walk away. However, a call came out addressed to him.
"Brandon, why don't you join us tonight?" I recognized it as the voice of George.
My Grandpa turned around, surprised.
He smiled after pulling himself together. "Thanks. Don't mind if I do".
My Grandpa nudged me, a huge grin on his face. As he said, meeting the leader of the afterlife was a privilege extremely hard to earn. The two of us went inside, probably just as unsure as the other what exactly we would be doing today.
As we stepped through the gates we were greeted by another spectacular sigh

My Grandpa nodded once again, still trying to fully comprehend my decision. I didn't blame him. It wasn't every day somebody said they wanted to forget about dying.
He actually put on a smile and shrugged. "Well it is your decision "
His face lit up. "I have an idea! Let's go meet all the folks 'round here!"
I nodded. "Sounds like a fine idea" I responded. Getting to see the locals sounded like the best way to get used to my new life in this new land. It was a first step.
My Grandpa got his sense of humor back. "You'll like all the girls 'round here, they're real pretty" he said grinning.
I gently punched him on the shoulder. "Grandpa!"
We were currently walking towards the town square of the area I lived in. There was a large fountain depicting an angel spewing water out of its mouth. Surrounding it was a barrier of gold and silver blocks. I started strolling towards a group of people resting beside the beautiful structure, but my Grandpa steered m
